Dr. Christian Hermelingmeier (pictured), CFO of HDI Global SE since September 2020 and CEO of HDI Global Specialty SE since January 2023, is about to make a move while continuing in his current roles.
Starting in March, Hermelingmeier will also be in charge of leading the finance department of HDI Global Specialty SE, taking over from Thomas Stöckl, who is leaving the group after nine years to pursue other opportunities. The latter became CFO of HDI Global Specialty SE in 2015.
Highlighting the contributions of Stöckl, CEO of HDI Global Specialty SE and member of the board of directors of HDI Global SE Ralph Beutter said: “During this time, Thomas Stöckl and his team made a significant contribution to the continued growth of the company and supported the relocation of the headquarters from London to Hanover through their vision of the future at a crucial point.
“He also played an integral role in the conversion and strategic realignment of Inter Hannover to HDI Global Specialty SE as a joint venture. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his excellent work and wish him all the best in both his personal and professional life.”
It was noted that the change will allow the finance departments of HDI Global SE and HDI Global Specialty SE to work more together under Hermelingmeier’s supervision.
“We hope that the uniform management will promote a significant improvement of operational cooperation within finance in the medium term, to contribute to improve our position with respect to the competition and help us to achieve our ambitious objectives”, declared the president of the board of HDI Global Specialty SE, Ulrich. Wallin.
“Mr. Stöckl has created and further developed the company’s finance division and strategically realigned it. We thank him for this and wish him all the best professionally and privately.”
Meanwhile, Hermelingmeier cited his enthusiasm for the “close partnership” with all employees. “I am convinced that together we can continue the success story of HDI Global Specialty SE,” she commented.
