According to publicly available documents, multiple tax liens were filed against the Run it rapper in December for taxes owed to both the federal government and the state of California in 2022. For reference, the 2023 IRS tax filing season officially began on January 23.

IRS tax documents obtained by Distracify shares details about the liens filed against the star. The IRS is requesting $2,245,561.50 in taxes owed for the year 2022. They also filed a separate lien for an additional $1,059,967.78 for the same year.
As for California, a state tax lien was filed in the amount of $739,067.48.
In total, Chris Brown owes state and federal authorities $4,044,596.76.
Brown’s home in Tarzana, CA and several music-related businesses are at risk if the Windy the artist does not pay what he owes. A few years ago, Brown raised funds with a “high end garage sale” at his Los Angeles residence. She invited fans to shop for his personal belongings, including used clothing and souvenirs, in his front yard.
Theoretically, another similar sale, either in person or online, could help Brown earn some of the funds he needs to pay his tax bill.

This is not the first time Brown has been in legal trouble. In 2009, he was sentenced to five years probation following a domestic violence incident involving Parasol hitmaker, Rihanna, his then-girlfriend.
Then in 2013, Brown was again arrested for assault, this time in Washington, D.C. He later got into a run-in with police in 2016 after being falsely accused of threatening a woman with a gun at his residence.
In 2022, another woman accused Brown of rape, but the case was dropped for lack of evidence.
At this time, neither Brown nor his legal team have made a statement regarding his tax liability with the IRS. As to IRSthe tax agency has a strict policy of not commenting on ongoing litigation.
