Consequently, the card offers personal accident sure coverage of up to ₹2 lakh per year and annual and enrollment fees for the first year have been cancelled, Bank of Baroda said in a statement.
The Government’s Pudhumai Penn Scheme aims to improve the enrollment rate of girls from public schools to higher education institutions. Through this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1000 per month would be provided to each girl until she completes her degree.

Tamil Nadu government special implementation department chief secretary T Udhayachandran along with Bank of Baroda general manager and zonal head A Saravanakumar launched the card in the presence of senior bank officials at an event here, according to the release.
